    I love perique! I stayed away for a long time because everyone talked about it being so strong. But once I tried it myself I never had that experience. I find it’s just different. It has a nic hit but the strength is a different flavour is all.

    That’s what I was thinking as well. In Canada we use dip and chew pretty much interchangeably but technically most of what’s sold is dip and I can’t understand putting snuff in your lip. That’s why I asked the original question.

    Mail Drop came in! I paid duty to Canada but it wasn’t bad so I accepted it. I think this will last me a while. The McCrystals Aztec is tasty! Perfect to replace a cup of hot chocolate. I’m tempted to have my wife try it lol.

    I’m at the 42nd parallel and I smoke a lot less during the winter but that’s mostly because I don’t smoke in the house. The exception being Christmas week. I’m working on winterizing my back porch so I can extend my “season”.

    I would check out Vermont Freehand‘s website. That’s where I get my stems unless I send them to a pipe repair.

    Yes I have. I grew up in a fundamentalist family and I threw out my first 3 pipes along with a bunch of tobacco because I felt guilty. I know I relieved my guilt at the time but now I feel foolish about it. My cellar would’ve been much better and I probably would’ve have some McCellands still...

    I can’t exactly tell from your post if you had anything to eat or drink with your smoke. If not, it might be a good idea to try next time. Or even try to have a little sugar now? Sometimes our bodies react more than our brain knows.
