wow, sure do have a large variety of sandwiches out there that we like. It's great to be living in today's world with such a tremendous amount of different foods to enjoy. We should all give at least a head nod to the Creator of all of this abundance and convience of today's world, everytime we get ready to chomp into one of these.

At home:

Stealing part of phils answer "Take a nice FAT loaf of Italian bread, slice it so it’s about 1/2 inch slices, spread spicy mustard all over it add a slice of provolone cheese and alternating layers of Black Forest Prosciutto and Daniele Prosciutto"

When out:

Jimmy John's #16 Turkey and Bacon with mustard, mayo, lettuce, onion and provolone. Who would have ever though something so simple could taste so great.

Best way to describe it is a large cube cut potato salad, slightly sweet, typical onion celery combo, with chunks of hard boiled egg. That's about the best i can do. I will have to say that it's hands down the best non-homemade potato salad I've had.

Ok, I know this stuff isn't available to everyone in the US, but if you're in the south and have access to Publix, you can get all of this. If not, substitute.

4 slices Boar's Head London Port Roast Beef
4 slices Boar's Head Tavern Ham
4 slices Boar's Head Buffalo Chicken
2 slices Boar's Head Provolone

Put meat together with cheese on top and nuke until cheese is melted. Toast a couple slices of English Muffin Bread and put your meat/cheese pile on there. Now comes the best part. Take a good amount of Publix Southern Style Potato Salad (as much as you can handle without making the sandwich explode) and put that right on the top slice of bread. Close sandwich, eat, love.

When a friend described it to me, I thought Philadelphia cream cheese and chopped black olives on white bread was a bit strange.
Turns out it's pretty good!
(Just to keep this tobacco related, Wessex Burley Slices has a taste component that reminds me of black olives.)

More than a few have turned up their noses at a peanut butter and onion sandwich.
So don't feel like the Lone Stranger.
However, they are popular in Vidalia GA. (probably its home)
I thought it sounded weird too, until I tried it.

Sliced bread, any kind will do, a big glop of mashed taters between them, smothered in any flavor of gravy that you want (this is for the poor days when there is NO meat) ... is this still a sandwich if you can’t eat it with your hands, why yes it is!

Sandwich: From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

"A sandwich is a food item consisting of two or more slices of bread with one or more fillings between them,[1] or one slice of bread with a topping or toppings, commonly called an open sandwich. Sandwiches are a widely popular type of food, typically taken to work or school, or picnics to be eaten as part of a packed lunch. They generally contain a combination of salad vegetables, meat, cheese, and a variety of sauces. The bread can be used as is, or it can be coated with butter, oil, mustard or other condiments to enhance flavor and texture. They are widely sold in restaurants and cafes."

All of these sandwiches sound great and are making me hungry! LOL

Liverwurst on white bread with mayo, black pepper, and a slice of American cheese.

I love grilled cheese with tomato soup and holiday turkey on white bread with mayo and black pepper.
