    Yes, it's antler. Definitely unique!

    FVF change?

I'm a heavy Lakeland smoker--particularly Ennerdale, Conniston, and Bosun--and just finished off a newer tin of FVF (from earlier this year). I tasted ZERO Lakeland essence in it. In fact, the absolute lack of Lakeland essence is why I'll probably not smoke any more FVF. 1792 on the other hand...

What Coffee Brand do You Like?

For health reasons I switched to decaf about two years ago and the hunt began for a decaf that actually tastes like a good, strong coffee. Not sour and cheap. So far, the best I've found is Starbuck's Sumatra Decaf. Medium dark, great roasted flavor. I'll stick with it until I find one better.

    McClelland VAs Reassessed ! 2024

I have to admit that I didn't care much for most of the popular McC blends when they were readily available; the Frogs and straight Virginias just didn't wow me in any way. I did like their Oriental blends, however, and still come across a big tin for sale now and then. But thanks to the...

    Opening A Tin? Show Us!

Opened and jarred a bunch today. Had some of the Balkan Mixture earlier, and about to have a nice big pipe of Ennerdale, too!

***What Are You Smoking, June 2024?***

Took time out from jarring up tobacco to have some of this. Better than expected. Much prefer this blend to Sam Gawith's Balkan Flake.

    Tennessee Trip

Two great breweries in Nashville worth the trip: Southern Grist and Bearded Iris. Especially if you love a great New England style IPA. There's a restaurant there, too, that serves donuts and beer (so you can get both of the breweries' beers I just mentioned in one spot, along with donuts)...

    Show Off Your Petersons Here!

Started off today with two Petes: Original Sherlock Holmes Deerstalker and a Boyne from the River Collection. Two of my fave pipes. Reminded myself why Star of the East flake is also one of my favorite tobaccos.

Those got grabbed quick. I went with a B61 and B65.

    Request for an Oriental

I definitely second LJ Peretti's Oriental #40, along with their Tashkent blend as well. I love great Orientals and these blends are top notch!

***What Are You Smoking, May 2024?***

Smoking some Comoy's Cask No. 1 in my Castello Sea Rock (shape 16, KKK). Posted this on Reddit and someone said that this blend was discontinued. Is that true? I admit I haven't seen any Comoy's blends for sale online lately...

Interesting Completed Ebay Auctions - British Pipes

I have a Weber that would pass as a twin for that pipe, and it's a fantastic smoker. Congrats and enjoy!

    An Interesting Estate Pipe Pickup

It smokes great! The tentacle marks was the draw!

    An Interesting Estate Pipe Pickup

Yes, I think it was a fellow Redditor. Someone also posted they have a bent version of the same pipe. Pretty cool.

I'd be ecstatic if they did a 605 in Rua or Barley. I'm not too picky about stem; plip or fishtail is fine with me. To be honest, the sandblasted Harp is ticking most of the boxes for me: sandblasted, silver band, acrylic stem. Was just hoping there'd be something a little different out there.

    An Interesting Estate Pipe Pickup

Yeah, someone on Reddit said it triggered their trypophobia... I just thought it was a unique sea urchin style of finish.

Loving the Pete's showing up here! I've been hunting for a 605 in an interesting finish, but just keep coming across the same ones (Harp, Donegal, Derry, Kildare). Every time a limited edition Pete comes around--Xmas, St Pat's, etc--I hope that the 605 will be a featured shape, but nope. I...
