    Missouri legend

I see a lot of folks mentioning the Diplomat. It looks a lot like the legend from the photo”s I’m guessing it’s just a little larger like the country gentleman?

    Rlp-6 vs 7 seas regular

Just an update I guess I’m an odd ball or got a bad batch but RLP-6 but was more chemical/burning plastic tasing to me than captain black. Was noticeable after the smoke on the beard note as well. I ran down and got a bag of captain black just to double check and the captain smokes better to me...

    Aromatics in storage.

Been trying a bunch of blends and jarring what I like. Vapers is my favorite so far but I have found a few aromatics I like too. Not a huge Latakia fan but I put a blend in a jar to age and will try it again next winter. My question is how long will aromatics stay good jarred? Probably dumb...

    Rlp-6 vs 7 seas regular

My local shop had Rlp-6 in stock so I picked up some of that. When I run through it guess I’ll try out 7 seas and see what I was missing. Thanks for the opinions on these blends.

    Rlp-6 vs 7 seas regular

For those who have smoked both Which of these two do you prefer? I smoked a pouch of captain a black awhile back and liked it enough to make it a regular in my rotation but would like to know which one of these two is best to buy in bulk as I have heard they are both better tobacco than the...

    J.R.R Tolkien ...

I”m a big fan! stated smoking a pipe last year and I’m about your age. Not saying Tolkiens work is the reason why I started to smoke but it had some influence.

Missouri Meerschaum Bit Mix and Match

Nice pipes! I have a question about the anniversary Legend. Is the draft hole flush with the bottom? I have an older Legend and it’s perfectly flush on the bottom. I bought some more expensive Missouri cobs and they are no where near flush or straight like my older legend. I hear their...

    Missouri legend

These little legend pipes anyone else’s favorite? I have only tried cobs, have not venture into briers and only been pipe smoking for about 6 months so forgive me but I have bought a few of the fancy cobs along the way (shire Cobbit, charels towns, country gentlemen) but keep coming back to my...

    Pipe mud bad taste

It is it’s a towne Cobbler pipe from Meerschaum. If you look down the page you will see a post I made titled drilled to deep couple days ago where I was asking if this was normal for it to be that deep. A couple of the suggestions I got was to fill it in with pipe mud or wait for it to fill...

    Pipe mud bad taste

I recently fixed a pipe with some pipe mud that was drilled to deep I got advice on from another recent post. I used hardwood fire place ash instead of cigar because that’s what I had on hand and I read somewhere else it works just as well if not better. Well it did make a great repair….. My...

    Cob Drilled to deep

I put a little pipe mud in the bottom last night and just gave it it’s first smoke I enjoyed it thanks all for the advice!

    Cob Drilled to deep

No it’s not touching the bottom unfortunately. It is barely past the hard wood and there is the gap/hole bellow it. Unless you mean the original cob bottom not the drilled hole bottom? Then it is I guess. Sounds like it’s not that big of a deal though I’ll just be careful not to scrape the...

    Cob Drilled to deep

It’s hard to get a sense of how deep it is from the photo that’s the best I could get but it’s probably 1/4 to 3/8s an inch or more past the stem going down If that will fill in that’s great but I don’t know how bad that is.

    Cob Drilled to deep

I ordered a new pipe from Missouri meerschaum and it came in today and to my disappointment I think it may be flawed, it’s drilled too deep. I wanted one with the acrylic bit as I’m new to the hobby and previously had bought two cheaper pipes from them with the plastic bits which I have enjoyed...

    Peterson EMP vs Amphora English

Thank you for the response! my question wasn’t so much should I get this or that but rather is EMP and amphora English pretty similar? Sorry for the confusion on my poor posting.

    Peterson EMP vs Amphora English

New to pipes and forum you can see my first post in new member sectio One of my first purchases was Amphora English and I like it pretty well but see early morning pipe thrown around a lot and would like to try another English once I get through a few more bowls of what I have on hand. Has...
