Cover Songs That Kick The Original

Very cool. Great American, often overlooked band. Agreed on Knockin' on Heaven's Door. I saw Guns n Roses play it last year in Jersey and it was still fantastic.

Show Me Pipe Rack / Storage Options

A hutch was always what we had in my parents' home as well. I think the difference is that a "China Cabinet" does not have the open area below the doors. If you google "Butler's Hutch" you will more often than not see that open shelf are between the bottom drawers and the upper cabinets.

Cover Songs That Kick The Original

Feeling Alright has three (at least) covers and I think two are better than Traffic's version. Everyone knows Joe Cocker's version, but not a lot of people know this version by Three Dog Night, which in my opinion is the best.

What Coffee Brand do You Like?

I have been getting the Mayorga whole bean at Costco. It's pretty good for everyday coffee. When I want to spoil myself I like to pick up some single origin Tanzania Peaberry or Ethiopian Yrgacheffe wherever I can find it.

I love this! I have been searching for something like this for a while now. What I believe is called a butler's hutch. Glass cabinet up top for my beer and liquor glassware, a flat bar area for all my booze and storage below. I'll have to see how pipe accoutrements will play into this.

    My Churchwarden Pipe Rack

I was thinking of a satin or felt pouch filled with a small grain like rice. Each pipe rest would have a carved out hollow or possibly a hole, with the "bean bag" secured into it.

Agreed. The only concern I have with displaying my pipes is that the Warden will see when I get a new one!

    My Churchwarden Pipe Rack

That's beautiful! I absolutely love the live edge! I have a project working in my head and the odd shapes of my pipes have me thinking about how I will do the resting spots. Thinking about something malleable at the base that can form to different shapes like a pointy bulldog or a squarer...

Evidently May 31 is International Enjoy a Cigar Day

The manager of my local shop turned me on to their smokes. The Tabernacle Havana Seed No. 142 is my favorite. The Charter Oak Habano and the Highclere Castle Victorian are also in my medium-bodied wheelhouse. The cigar world raves about the Olmec, but I have yet to try that line yet.

Evidently May 31 is International Enjoy a Cigar Day

I never smoked lanceros in over 30 years of cigar smoking. I definitely short-changed myself. Have been enjoying several different ones recently and even bought a box of Foundation Tabernacle lanceros. They're dynamite!
