I was gifted a tin today and noticed the sticker on the back. It's HU Flanagan.

Don't think so. Those are production lot numbers, not dates, as far as I know.

Edit -- not to mention the fact that this tobacco didn't exist 29 years ago.

I think it should have a 4 Letter Code somewhere on the label.

If it were 1994, those wacky Europeans would put the day before the month. Unless there’s a 17th month I don’t know about.
