Mastercraft Question

I was looking through some the estate pipes I've found over the years and found a Mastercraft I had forgotten I had. Probably because it smaller than most of the pipes in my weekly rotation.
Anyway, the stamps on the bottom does say Mastercraft and what I read as Dark Grain or Bark Grain. The question I have is on the other stamps.
I think it reads "Porter Briar" over "Italy". You guys have any guesses?

I see a faint “M” before the “PORTED”—I suspect the stamping is just light on the “IM” and it says “IMPORTED BRIAR.”

Crap. I've looked at it with a magnifying glass and enlarged the photo on my desktop and missed that M. Now that you say it, it stands out.
