It has to be Sherlock Holmes. Ask anyone who is the most famous pipe smoker and that will be the answer.

I watched the "new" Sherlock Holmes movie on blueray last saturday and it was really great although not with enough pipe smoking. Can't wait for the next one.

Now we're talking some trash...I love trash..well, some of it.

Marry the right person, this one decision will determine 90% of your happiness.

Does a culture based on seperation and competition, of scientific sophistication and mideval religion, offer happiness even as it ravishes the Earth that sustains it?

Now if I only could find a Savinelli 121ks, black and rusticated then I too could do action-pipe-smoking like Robert Downing Jr.

Fictionally I'd either say Holmes or Gandlaf, real people though I'd probably say either Samuel Clemens aka Mark Twain or Albert Einstein. Bing Crosby is well noted for his pipe smoking as well.

Bing Crosby is probobly the most well known. C.S. Lewis is the coolest. I wish I could have been in the room while he and Tolkien smoked together.
