Thanks Ghost... I haven't tried the "Tall" pipes yet... Still waiting to hear from MM on the age...

I already poked one eye out with the Churchwarden, I always wanted to wear and eye patch... Just Joking... I haven't even tried it out yet...

I have some sheet rock mud, do you think that would work?

I read that cigar ash works the best.

Put some water in the Cigar ash put the ash in the bottom of the pipe and let the ash dry for 3 or 4 days

Two new additions to my rotatation. The first is an early production Willmer Extra Grain AB with a hand cut vulcanite stem. 'Tis a large pipe at 6 1/8" long and 2 1/8" high. It is rather light for it's size at 1.9 oz. It LOVES McCelland's 5110.

The next is a new Peterson's System Standard 312.

That is the last time I'll use a black background!

I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane.

Chuck those are nice, I really like the peterson ( I'm partial to bents when it comes to briars). Phil have you smoked the nose warmers yet? If so how do they smoke, I'm think of having some of the short stems made.

Not yet... To cold right now... In the bent NW it will probably be a cigar clend... I'll give it a shot soon... I hope... if the wind would ever quit blowing!

Chuck nice pipes... I like the "BIG" one...

    Love it.

I might not buy another pipe for a long time or at least until they go sour.

Hey Sapo can you take your Dr. Grabow Omega apart because; I bought one for my Grandpa and I was going to take the filter out but I could not remove the stem.

    Nice collection Sapo!

Ghost, put the pipe in the freezer for a few hours so that the briar constricts a little and it should help you remove the stem. Unless it is a screw out stem in which case turn it counter clockwise. I am not familiar with the Omega pipes, so I am not sure if it is a screw in stem or not.

Sapo... Nice dude, my collection looks like your collection, only I have more cobs...

My Ropp bowl showed today, was not what I was expecting, but it has grown on me... It's boxed for Dave for a new stem and cleaning...

Ghost, where can you find the bone pipes...???

Nevermind... Here is a link, he has some pretty neat pipes... http://www.pamall.net/pipes/

    I like this one...

Try Bob's suggestion ghost, I've never had a problem getting mine apart. I bought it as an estate lot off e-bay along with the small liberty pipe. I paid $15 for both of them.

In my opinion the maple pipes smoke pretty good for what they are. I don't have any moisture problems with them at all. I try to smoke them slow, and have found they are good for flakes. My only problem with them would be the small bowl size. If you want a decent knock around pipe I would recommend one.

Yes Ron. That Ken Sturgill shoe pipe is a real hoot! I've had some pipes that tasted like an old shoe, but none that ever looked like one!

Finally got some pictures uploaded. Has anybody else noticed that it is nearly impossible to get really good pictures of your pipes?

Thanks guys! Taking the pictures took a lot less time than processing them (i.e., resizing, combining and uploading).
