    Nice Sap.

So with shipping you've got a very nice briar for what $15?

    Pretty much a free pipe.

    Nicely done.

I won't see any communication directed to me here. I'm no longer active at this forum.

It was $10.50 shipping included, I won it for $7.00 and shipping was $3.50. I got it for about the price of a cob. I've got some cleaning to do on it but I'm happy with it.

Thanks for the compliments on my find... My wife is gunna kill me... First she doesn't like the horn shape, second I just spent money that she is gunna want for something else... I guess I have to get the mail before she does... I think the first thing I'll do is have it sanitized...

Jonesing, I think you would have to have something around your neck to support that thing... or set it on a table and lean over to smoke it...

Sapo, Nice find... your big on the Omega's...

    Phil,
    I'm so jealous.
I have been eyeing that general shape for a while, and pretty much have decided that a "horn" shape was to be my next purchase.
    Lucky devil...
    Great find.

The "Monstrosity' is a Parks Pipescreation.

I frankly don't get it. Looks like it was assembled with legos. Some of his other stuff is quite nice.

Here is one of my less used Dr. Grabow’s, Grand Duke... It’s more of a Canadian style.
This one I just happened to grab as I was leaving for work...

That's pretty slick! I've never seen a colored cob before. Do you suppose it is just stained like a normal pipe?

    Ghost,
It seems that the "latest thing" seems to be white stems.
Skip at The Briary showed me this new pipe with a two tone stem, last week when I was in there. It is sharp.
Skip has been turning out some really high quality pipes.

    He calls it Tapestry.

    I love it too.
The draft hole is dead center, you can push a pipe cleaner from bit to bowl.
But, here's the neatest thing.... the drilling to the bowl is curved.
Skip explained the process involved in drilling a curve to me the other day.
    Pretty cool.

Damn Pstlpkr The Briary seems like a cool tobacco store. How close to Tuscaloosa is it?

    Oh yeah Ghost,
    It's awsome

It's actually in Hoover, just South of Birmingham.
It may take an hour by 20/59 North to 459 East to 65 North, 3rd exit (Oxmore Rd.) two blocks on the left corner. That sounds harder than it is.

How I envy those of you with real pipe stores to visit! The closest one to me is 200 miles away.

Arpil 10 Skips sponsoring a "run what ya brung" smoking contest.
Last year's winner was about an hour and twenty minutes.
I'm going to put my experiments to the test.
I don't know what the prize is this year, but I intend to win.

Just to the right of the "tins" is the Humidor.
It's literally filled floor to ceiling with cigars and bulk tobaccos.
It has to be one of the best smelling rooms on the planet.
There is a great smoking lounge as well.

    Yup.
He's huge, and Al does greet everyone who comes in.
I'll see if I can get Skip to post some pictures of his antique pipe collection.
    It's incredible.

    Oh by the by.....
There are about a thousand pipes on display, and I can't remember ever seeing two that were just alike.
