    TAD means Tobacco Acquisition Disorder.

Use this thread to post any new pipe tobacco purchases.

    I just ordered these:

    1. G. L. Pease: Maltese Falcon 2oz - had some at the Chicago show and damn was it good!

    2. McClelland: Frog Morton 50g - same as above - sampled in Chicago and damn good. Python's recent review reminded me to get some.

    3. McClelland: Bombay Extra 50g - ordered on Mate's recommendation.

    4. McClelland: Blakeney's Best Acadian Ribbon 50g - almost done with my first tin and love the taste.

    5. McClelland: Blakeney's Best Latakia Flake 50g - it says Latakia, what more do I need to know?

    6. Samuel Gawith: Commonwealth 50g - ordered on Mate's recommendation.

    7. Samuel Gawith: Bracken Flake 50g - ordered on Python's recommendation after reading his review.

I also wanted to get Samuel Gawith Fire Dance from Python's recommendation and SG Skiff from Mate's recommendation, but they were sold out.

That is a good order Kevin!
Hopefully you will enjoy them all.

I will be placing a TAD order of my own soon. I am going to get an 8 pack sampler of some GLPease blends. I just have to figure out which blends to get, there are so many I want to try, lol.

Just opened a Tin of the Maltese Falcon on Friday Night

Some people don't like the big chunks. Personally I like them. I think this will be in my top 5.

It is a dry tin. I just tried humidifying this morning, to see results. Not that I have any complaints about it.

Re Commonwealth Mixture, I just has some at 4:30am with my double cup of wake up coffee. Listening to the end of my last Audio Book #17 in The Sackett Series (For Western / Louis Lamour Fans)

I find I like this 1st thing in the day. This stuff is so gooddddddd. Like Tanya Full Bodied, Dark and Sweet.

Wouldn't mind opening my eyes to Tanya bring my coffee and a mid size to large bowl of Commonwealth Mixture.

Looks like we're going to be smoking lots of new tobaccos this weekend.

I just got notice that mine shipped. Now when I hear a knock on the door I go running like a kid at Christmas. (Are we still allowed to say "Christmas" these days?)

Actually the cost isn't that bad. They are all just 1oz samples of the blends.
I wish that I was able to buy the tins of all those blends though, lol.

Someone must have gone crazy over at SmokingPipes.com. Look how my SG Bracken arrived.

    http://pipesmagazine.com/damaged-tobacco-tins/sg-bracken-03.jpg

Oddly, the box seems fine except for a very slight dent in the corner.

    Also:

    http://pipesmagazine.com/damaged-tobacco-tins/maltese-falcon.jpg
    http://pipesmagazine.com/damaged-tobacco-tins/sg-commonwealth.jpg

They apologized, said they would show these pictures to the shipping dept., since these obviously left there like that as the shipping box is in good condition, and most importantly, they are shipping me free replacements for the 3 dented tins - actually the SG Bracken looks like someone took a hammer to it.

Maybe it was a smoke nazi?

I guess a slight dent once in a while is no biggie, but that one tin sure didn't look like an accident.

    Kevin Thats Cruel

I Loveeeeeeeeee Cuban Food, got hooked on it in Miami 2 yrs ago. Funny I don't care much for Mexican

I think the Cuban is closer to Venezuelan Food

My mother was Venezuelan and my father was ½ Venezuelan, so that probally explains why I like the food and I cant get it. Venezuela is only 7 miles away from Trinidad

Wow Kevin, it looks like someone was having a bad day and took out their anger on those tins. They must hate Bracken Flake or else they were planning on buying it and you got the last tins so they gave them some extra care while packing, lol.

When Laura looked at it she said it looked like it was run over by something, that the dent looked like a wheel mark. I have my feedback on SG Commonwealth and I will post it in a new thread.

    You going to smoke those?

Look out for any foreign substance

The Anti Smoking Nazis may have teemed up with Al Quida (To me its hard to tell the difference between them anyway) , and might be messing with US Postal Service again.

Just do the normal thing and dump defective products on 3rd world countries

Nice stash Phil. I had the little tobacco devil on my shoulder earlier today. He was saying "go to the tobacco store, buy yourself some more tobacco." I said "but shouldn't I smoke up some of the tobacco I already have?" "NO, NO, NO, he said." Long story short I bought 2 pouches of sir walter raleigh, never had it before. I will review it when I get at least through one pouch.
