Based on Lawrence's apparent love for it, I got a tin of Samuel Gawith Grousemoor to try. I popped the lid and it smell great! Kinda like SG Kendal Cream Flake.

A good friend of mine was thinning out his cellar so I bought the following from him...

    McClelland 5100 - 1 pound
    C&D Haunted Bookshop - 1.5 pound
The Malthouse, Founders Reserve - 6 tins

His cellar got thinner while mine gained a few pounds...

    Very lucky, JC!

I got some Squadron Leader at my B&M this weekend. Bracken Flake is next on my list come payday... If I can wait that long.

I have many unopened tins, probably about 50, and about 10 pounds of bulk tobacco in jars... My most recent tin I opened is 1888 mid day. It's a nice aromatic, I like to smoke it on my way home from work... But sometimes it bites me???

Let it dry a wee bit and see if that cures the bite.

Always wanted to try Esoterica (Stonehaven, and Penzance). But I always miss out. By the time I find out they are in stock, I am usually too late. I checked FB and saw that Mars had a cancelled order 30 seconds from Mars posting. So I rush to do the order at Mars and WHAM, I got them both (8 oz each). I am so looking forward to trying these tobaccos.

I feel sick seeing all that Esoterica, and it not being mine.

I swear this thread always starts something with me. I went out for lunch to the PO mails some stuff and decided to hit up one of the B&M's close by. Got a Tin of Peterson's Irish Oak and 2 oz. of "Harvey's Blend" No idea what it is, but I like the tin note and it's a decent smoke also.

    From e-tailers:
    4oz H&H Black House
    4oz SPC Miss. River
    4oz SPC Plum Pudding
10oz Three Oaks Syrian (I am literally smoking a tin of this every two days!)

I also have some Wilderness on order through my local B&M, but if it doesn't arrive by Wednesday, I'm going to tack that on with an etailer.

i went a little crazy Saturday at Carousel and The Wharf.
at Carousel I grabbed 8 ounces of Meditation, a tin of Sasieni Original Formula Balkan, and a bunch of pipe cleaners.
Then we went up to The Wharf and I picked up 8oz. of Billy Budd, 4oz. of Latakia, 8oz. of their English/Oriental, A tin of Blakeney's Best Latakia Flake, a tin of Butera's Royal Vintage Latakia No. 1, a tin of Sutliff Private Stock Great Outdoors, and a tin of Wellauer's Latakia.
    I think that was everything.

UPS delivered today. First out of the box and in the pipe was Hofman'sDistinguished Gentleman. Not a bad smoke at all. Blue Mountain, SL, Grousemoor, and 1792 on deck.

I felt the same way, John. Distinguished Gentleman was decent but not something to write home about. I'm letting it age a bit before I pass judgment. The SG blends you listed are all ones I've tried.
SL was a nice Latakia blend, but there are better which are easier to find and cheaper to buy.
Grousemoor wasn't as much of an aromatic as I had been expecting and needs more bowls to figure out if I like it.
The 1792 is tasty but it knocked me on my @$$ with the Vitamin-N content. Smoke on a full stomach for sure!

I've been successful in staying my TAD attack, but this may put me over the edge. That and the fact that my wife gave me the green light to make an order big enough to get free shipping for our anniversary.

Also got myself a Vinyl 7 pipe deluxe case. I was getting tired of keeping my pipes in socks when I travelled or went out. Went with vinyl because I'm a college kid, and there is no way I'm spending 90 dollars when I could spent 25 and put the 75 towards a pipe.
