I picked up a Julius Vesz "Hand Made" estate Prince today, nice pipe, smokes great. I know the "Hand Made" series were/are graded 2 to 4, this pipe is a 4 (in a circle), the question is what is higher grade, 2 or 4?

Hey all, I picked up a box of estate pipes today and I'm hoping someone might help me Identify what brand this Meerschaum is. It has a "P" logo on it that almost looks like the Peterson's logo but I don't think it is. The only other markings are "Block Meerschaum".

I totally agree, without getting too political it seems freedom of speech/thought is quickly being eroded. I'm not sure where you're located but here in Canada there's a current movement to basically erase history, political correctness is reaching new levels of stupidity.
There's so many different angles to this hobby, it can be different things to different people. For me I would say smoking is first, but not far behind is the research that goes into vintage pipe collecting, I'm far from expert but I always feel what little information I gather I should try to...
For example, details you might have researched on your vintage pipes, or details on which pipes smoke best with which blends, etc...
Up until now I've been mostly relying on memory, but as the collection grows and the well seasoned vintage brain shrinks it starts to get a bit cloudy.
