    How Much is Too Much?

The most I’ve ever had was probably six pipes in a day and that was at a pipe show. Typically I have one bowl Mon-Fri and then Sat-Sun I’ll have three bowls each day.

Show Us Your Ryan Alden Pipes!

This is my collection of Alden pipes. Does anyone know if Ryan is still carving? Haven’t seen many of his pipes pop up on SP lately

The Official 2024 NHL Playoff Thread

That was ridiculous not calling that goal back. Clearly the Bennett cross check is what sent Coyle into Swayman and prevented Swayman from having a chance at making a save. Do I think Boston would have won that game, no, but you gotta get the call right when it’s that obvious. The rule states...

Show Us Your Dr Bob Pipes

I met Dr Bob and his pipes back at the 2013 then West Coast Pipe Show in Las Vegas. His rustication caught my eye and made me stop at his table for a closer look. The last picture above is the one I ended up buying from him after a nice conversation. For those that don’t know, he is a former...

Nathan "CrashTheGrey" Davis on Radio Show of May 7, 2024

I’m with ya Brian, I get made fun of enough at home for free. Good to hear the tradition of Kaywoodie will continue on. The pipe world has a great ability to honor and respect the history while forging on to the future.

Las Vegas Intl Pipe Show 2024!

Bumping this to remind everyone about the cut off date of June 1st to book room and or table for best rates and chance to win 3 nights free. It’s going to be an epic show! Very excited! Can’t wait to meet up with old friends and make new ones.

    Walt Cannoy Suedeblast

I’m not so sure and I know some carvers are very hush hush (too shy shy hush hush eye to eye) about what blasting medium they use. I want to say someone mentioned thinking or hearing he was using fine glass as a blasting medium and then changing the PSI to a certain level to get this finish.

    Walt Cannoy Suedeblast

From the moment I first saw a picture of Walt Cannoy’s suedeblast it was my mission to acquire one for my American carvers collection. The intricate swirls it creates are mesmerizing. There’s so much detail in this specific blast. It also feels nice in the hand when holding the pipe. I...

The Official 2024 NHL Playoff Thread

Poor Leafs fans. Bruins up 3-1 heading back to Boston. If Matthews is out again Toronto may just exit the postseason.

    Peretti-Peterson Collab Pipes

The other three arrived! The fit and finish on the 338 I received is considerably better than the one the website depicted. They look great in my Peterson four pipe travel bag. Overall I’m very pleased with them. Glad to add this small collection to my overall Peterson collection.

    Ennerdale Flake

I had a quarter of a bowl of Ennerdale flake and that was enough for me to swear off Lakeland blends forever. Now when I see them mentioned my eye twitches and I get the shakes.

    Formula 1 2024

I started getting into F1 from the Netflix documentary series, but last year when they came to Vegas it was a total nightmare dealing with them at work. Ridiculous timelines and demands. I’m shocked the race actually happened. I’m dreading having to deal with it for the next five years.

Rigid Black Char Forcing Harder Tamping Pressure?

This, 💯! Creating a sort of dome helps keep things centered to get more of a complete burn. I would also add maybe run a cleaner down the stem and shank a few times throughout the smoke to whisk some of that excess moisture away.
