    Cigars to Pipes...No Looking Back

I've always loved a good cigar. I avoided trying pipe smoking in earnest because of all the work involved. I was part of an pipe and cigar group online and kept seeing everyone talk about how good pipe smoking was and how you could 15-20 bowls of tobacco from a $10 tin of tobacco vs $10-$20 for...

    A Pot (Chuck) Roast Experiment

Arby's actually uses a processed pressed beef. The the best cut for a proper sandwich roast beef is going to be top round. It's a very lean cut, so it needs to be cooked medium rare and thinly sliced. Chuck is much better (in my opinion) when cooked low and slow until all the fat and connective...

    Car Emergency Tin and Pipe?

I used to keep a pipe and a jar of tobacco in my truck. Everything was fine until winter came. After the tobacco was exposed to extended cold temperatures, it lost all of its flavor.

    And Your Favourite Cheese Is?

I usually hate most goat cheese, but when I was a kid, a guy who farmed goats brought out some Chevre that he had just made. It was one of the best things I've ever eaten. Not a hint of gaminess. When I got older I bought some Chevra from the grocery store and it was horrible. Tasted exactly...

Did You Lose Your Taste for Aromatics Over Time?

    The Tobacco Purge — Why?

4/21/2023, it's just that time of year. They also run this exact sale several other times through the year. Usually around October, then December.

    I Am Now A Professor!

I'm just going to point out that you have mentioned, Indiana, Farm animals, wealthy relatives, and a prestigious career. I'll leave it at that for now.

    I Am Now A Professor!

But, the last board of trustees meeting was on March 1, and they don't have another one until June. There was no mention of budget cuts. I'm not sure they were being honest with you.

    I Am Now A Professor!

That's odd, considering the board of trustees approved a $4.2 Billion operating budget for fy 23/24, a $200 million increase over the previous year, as a part of the 7 year plan to provide more funding to accommodate the increase in expenses for labor, services and fixed costs.

    I Am Now A Professor!

Well that's a surprising turn of events! Very unprofessional of them to lead you to believe with such certainty that you had the position, that you'd be prepared to move and have your parents buy you a house, to so abruptly rescind the offer! What happened exactly?

    The Briar And The Burley

Pretty sure this guy has a long history of horrible threads, under multiple different user names. Somehow we always end up back in Indiana.
