What Are You Smoking, October 2022?

    Why smoke Burley?

I tried my first Burley this week as well. I got some Mac Baren HH Old Dark Fired Hot Pressed and I really wanted to like it. I didn't dislike it per se but I certainly didn't love it. It was tangy and smokey, a little sweet but not much. Smelled a little like a rich hot sauce when I opened the...

    Latakia, Oriental, Help.

On the topic of English blends... I just started smoking English blends recently. I've tried both Presbyterian and Plum Pudding. I enjoyed both but got an unexpected linen/fresh flavor, like it reminded me of fabric softener or something. My palette isn't super refined yet so I'm wondering if...

    Show Off Your Petersons Here!

Just got my first Peterson pipe: Aran 127 Nickel Band The stem was fairly loose right out of the box, just a light tug and it came right out. Not sure if that is a Peterson thing since this is my first one. After a couple of smokes it seems to be tightening up a bit. I wanted to try a PLip...

    Greetings from the Pacific NW

I've only been to one shop in Oregon so far and the prices were not good. I try to stick to online sales and have them shipped to a friend in Portland since some sites won't ship to WA. Thanks for the recommendations! I'll definitely check those out.

Been stuck on this song for about a month now. The Strike have a great retro 80s sound.

A little bit of both. I'm actually on the Washington side these days so my online tobacco options are limited. But there are a couple brick and mortars around that have a decent (albeit expensive) supply of pipes, tins, and bulk.

    Greater PDX area

In Vancouver/Camas here. I'd be interested as well. I'll probably try to make it over there one of these Sundays.

    Greetings from the Pacific NW

Howdy Pipers! New member coming to you from Oregon/Washington (I go back and forth). Just recently picked up pipe smoking and am enjoying it immensely and learning a lot. I started off with a cheap no-name pipe and some generic brick and morter aromatic blends and have not been progressing into...
