    St. Claude Pipe

I recently purchased my first new pipe, as all the others are estate pipes. The pipe is a St. Claude made in France. I can’t think of anywhere else to post this as I don’t see a thread for French pipes and I’ve heard that some Dunhill’s were made in France in the 1920s. Anywho, here’s the pipe.

    Unknown Pipe

Here is an Estate Pipe that I recently acquired. All it says is Made In England. I cannot find a makers name.

    Pipes and Tobacco Magazine

Does anyone remember Pipes and Tobacco Magazine? I have a few issues and will hopefully add to the collection. I love looking at the various ads in the magazine.

    Richard Carleton Hacker

Any thoughts on Richard Carleton Hacker’s various books? I have Rare Smoke and enjoy reading it.

    Collecting cigars

Out of curiosity, does anyone just collect cigars that suit their fancy, not to smoke, but, more as an aesthetic, or, am I the only one? I have a small humidor with several good cigars. I am a fan of Padron and Rocky Patel. I consider them to be miniature works of art.

Recommending a Brick and Mortar Tobacconist

I’d like to recommend Davis and Son Tobacconists if you are ever in Wilmington, North Carolina. The store has been around since 1976. They have a good selection of cigars, pipes, and accessories. They also have their own pipe tobacco blends that are made in store rather than mass produced pipe...

    Dating a Savinelli Pipe.

Is it possible to find out what year a particular Savinelli Pipe was made? Is there a date code, particular stamp, lettering style, etc. that would enable you to find out the year of manufacture?

    Introducing myself to the forum.

Hi, all! I am not a pipe smoker. Rather, I enjoy collecting cigar boxes, pipes, and learning their history. I’m also a rare book collector.
