Anyone Here Like the Ashton Cabinet Cigar?

Yes. Smooth, Creamy and Mild. Hear, hear! I feel the same! I like the No 4s so well, I am afraid to try any other shape or size.

    Remembering McClelland Red Virginias

I looked at tinbids. I'd be better off buying gold. :-/

    Remembering McClelland Red Virginias

So long now since they closed, where do you find it?

    Remembering McClelland Red Virginias

You mentioned some real stellar ones there. Tudor Castle and SJW's were right up there. I, too, like Beacon Extra. All such McClelland blends I consumed as though they were candy.

    Remembering McClelland Red Virginias

You guys are guilty of malfeasance for hijacking a thread about McClelland Red Virginias

    Remembering McClelland Red Virginias

Yeah. There was another bulk 5100, a red Virginia ribbon cut that I wish that I had bought tons of. McClelland's closing went from being just a rumor to a reality, overnight. There was no time to react.

Now, please stop! That isn't fair. It would be OK if you offered to share some of it.

    Remembering McClelland Red Virginias

Yes. They went out with a bang with that one.

    Remembering McClelland Red Virginias

Yup. I much enjoyed that one, too. I had read that the growing scarcity of the really good red Virginia leaf they had depended on was one of the main reasons they chose to shutter.

Was Virginia No 27 a red Virginia?

    Remembering McClelland Red Virginias

40th Anniversary was very good. But my most favorite of all was Aurora. Blissful. If I had known that they would so quickly close shop I would have bought 500 tins! What was your favorite McClelland blend?

Cheerio, chap! Good on ya. I lived in New Zealand for a year where they do speak some of the Kings English.

Anyone Here Like the Ashton Cabinet Cigar?

I have tried many cigars and I know I am a mild-Med guy. I also love the Cabinet because of it's very rich, complex flavors. The filler and binder in the Cabinet is aged to a minimum of 4 - 5 years, but considering Fuentes massive arsenal of tobacco it is said that it could in fact be aged 8 or...

Anyone Here Like the Ashton Cabinet Cigar?

I just ordered a box of 50 of these little guys, Ashton Connecticut Half Corona. They are 4 1/8 x 37 and mild to medium, with the same tobaccos as the Ashton Cabinet, so I am sure I will like them. Has the Connecticut Shade Wrapper. They come ready to smoke, so no need for a cutter. There were...

Hi, Mike. Where about in PA? My parents had a 2nd home near Honesdale (NE PA) Hi, Paul! Yes, it's beautiful here now with abundant sunshine. But you would not have wanted to be here this past summer. It was brutal. Phoenix had a standing record of 18 consecutive daytime highs at or above 110F...
