On Smoking Slowly and the Benefits...

Idem. Idem. I too was a sucker for the hyper-humidity of tobacco, but I've found that a little more on the dry side is just as good, if not better. Another dogma (at least, I considered it such) that I freed myself from was the packaging technique with the three pinches of increasing...

    The Fly-Fishing of Tobacco

Thanks so much for sharing, all very interesting. Update us on future developments 👍

    What’s Your Storage Preference?

I have a wood-lined silver cigar case that belonged to my grandfather, which I use for Caribbean-style cigars (very, very few); it's nothing professional, I imagine it was designed for Toscanos who don't need maintenance, so it's just little more than a nice box set. I keep the Toscanos in the...

Pipestud Needs Help Identifying A Pipe... Once again!

Yes beautiful, it is very inspired by the Nonpareil, but more beautiful.

    Look What I Found…

Can you explain this to me? I have never aged tobacco, partly out of impatience and partly because I can't buy something to use in a few years without the certainty of still being alive.

    Savinelli: No Filter?

I imagine it's to remove some of the nicotine in overly strong tobaccos, and/or to avoid tongue bite with certain flavored ones.

    Royal Yacht Buzz

The first third of the smoke is something great, the perfect tobacco for my tastes; then, suddenly, the nicotine skyrockets and becomes very bitter. Sin. Has anyone else had this experience?

    That Old School Aroma

In my family I only had one uncle who smoked a pipe. I can't remember the aroma because I've been anosmic since birth, but I remember the tartan texture of the envelope: Clan! He smoked a pipe constantly, there is no photo of him without a pipe in his mouth; he was basically a cigarette smoker...

    And Your Favourite Cheese Is?

Yes, but in Sardinia they have been eating it for centuries and have the highest percentage of over centenarians in the world 😂

    Alligator

No, but I'm sure he would love to try me.

Sacre Bleu: French Baker Makes Croissants Sans Butter.

Anything is possible, there will be many ways to make olive oil. For example, the one from northern Italy is light, transparent and tastes of nothing. I hate it, maybe they are the ones who pickle the olives (lol).

    And Your Favourite Cheese Is?

I think it's sheep. I have been to Sardinia many times but it is not available, it has become illegal and is only sold clandestinely. If you don't know the right people you won't find it. Too bad, because I was really curious to try it.

Sacre Bleu: French Baker Makes Croissants Sans Butter.

The problem is that today we are afraid of flavors more than fats.

Sacre Bleu: French Baker Makes Croissants Sans Butter.

Maybe it was just the washing phase. We're not talking about brine here. https://www.frantoionutile.it/fasi-lavorazione.php#:~:text=Fasi%20della%20Lavorazione-,Il%20ciclo%20di%20lavorazione%20per%20ottenere%20l'olio%20d'oliva,%2C%20centrifugazione%2C%20stoccaggio%20e%20imbottigliamento.

I hate biscuits without palm oil; if you write on the package "without palm oil" you lose a customer with me.

    Savinelli: No Filter?

It is said that the balsa filter serves to retain the humidity that it produces itself.

    G & H Balkan

I recently purchased some cans of Samuel Gawith, all with plastic seals around the perimeter. I opened two Sam's Flake with my hands, in both cases the lid came off easily without making the classic vacuum "pop". The sensation was that of cans without vacuum.

    Savinelli: No Filter?

Mainly in Germany, or in any case in northern Europe, where flavored tobaccos are smoked a lot.

He is trying to undermine your health. She is still a mother-in-law, remember that.
