I asked Michael Parks to create his interpretation of the following two pipes - a billiard and a dreadnought. My only guidance to him was that I wanted titanium bands. The pipes are now nearing completion and I will post updates over the next few days.
I hope everyone is doing well. I am doing about as well as could be expected in the midst of all the craziness in the world at the moment. Still haven't figured out how to smoke a pipe while simultaneously wearing a face mask, but that is a subject matter for another post.
So, what are...
Life has been busy as of late and I haven't checked in to see what is going on here on the forum in quite some time.
Being a luddite, I will admit that at first I was quite intimidated by the new site and figuring out how it works, but then I easily concluded that if cigrmaster could learn...
For those who are fans of Tokutomi and admire the man's artistry, I thought this video blog released by SP a few days ago was quite interesting. Thought I would share...
OK, this is an oldie, but it still makes me cry my guts out laughing, so thought I would share for those few who haven't seen this little gem yet.

I would invite all of you to post a pic of a pipe that you covet.
For me at the moment, I keep coming back to this Kurt Balleby pipe, which I am conveinced is just about the nices panel/facet pipe I have ever seen (with a price to match)...
I arrived in Rome on Saturday and I am working there all this week. Shane Ireland at SP suggested I drop in to see Massimo Musico at the Becker & Musico store and on Saturday that's just what I did.
What a fun shop, just a couple of blocks from the Trevi Fountain. Massimo was a delight to...
A method for dating Esoterica bags and tins was recently summarized by a member of another forum I am on. Apparently, this person contacted Germain for this information, but I have no way of verifying that.
I also understand that this only works (if in fact it does work) for relatively recent...
I picked up this Ryan Alden bing billiard from today's release. I already have two other bings made by Ryan (both with a horn shank junction) , so this will be a nice companion to those. Love Ryan's work and he just gets better and better.
The earlier Alden bings:
I picked up my mail today and was stunned to see this awesome Preben Holme freehand which was sent to me as a gift by Sante (our own fishnbanjo). Many thanks for this, Sante. It is much appreciated and I plan to take it for a test run this evening.
For those of you who do watch the odd video on youtube, I thought I would draw your attention to a channel recently started by Mike at BriarBlues. Mike is a very knowledgeable guy and you may find his some of his programming interesting...
Just checking out SP and noticed that Royal Yacht is no longer even shown. https://www.smokingpipes.com/tobacco/by-maker/dunhill/ Does this mean that is all she wrote for that blend and there is no new stock coming in?
I recently felt a dark tremor in The Force which caused me to worry that the Evil Emperor may have returned from his Floridian exile to cause mayhem for my fellow brothers of the leaf. Has anyone felt the same disturbance? Dark days (and endless streams of languid prose) may be ahead for us all.
Wow, Santa (and his alter ego, Tim) sure was good to me this year.
I received three fantastic artisan pipes from the man in red. I didn't think last year's gift could be topped, and then this little bundle of goodies arrived.
Now I need to clear some prime space on the display for this little...
In addition to a bulldog/rhodesian ( See http://pipesmagazine.com/forums/topic/a-bulldog-or-a-rhodesian-you-tell-me ) I also picked up a smooth brandy and a rather unusual sandblasted bamboo apple from Michael Parks.
