I'm just waiting on some upgrades...but I'm think'in for this one...stem-work something in perhaps ocean blue/swirls will go nice with the natural rusticated briar and perhaps a sterl'in Silver band on that smooth shank...whatcha all think? :puffy:

Silver band whould be a very hard way to take as shank needs to be round perfectely. And in this case i see isn't round. You still need a tool to get shank plane in transition with stem otherwise pipe will shows always unfinished. That's the step you need to play nowadays to get outstanding pipes. The way is right, take the time necessary and look at shank (round and plane) as first problem to resolve
