Well I get called a few things, but never John.

We've got the 2nd weekend of November earmarked - our Cedar Hill retailer that helps facilitate is working to secure the location still, story of our lives always late to the party.

Hell the kicker is, we met in person at the Kansas Pipe show. But I get it, I'm poor with names myself. I'll meet people, tell them my name is James... and then they find out "oh you're pylorns" and suddenly they know me. Online fun...

I just started smoking a pipe last month. What exactly happens at a pipe show?

Like many hobby/trade shows there are swaps, sales, new models and new artists featured, old artists and genre contributors get honored and sometimes speak, contests, that sort of thing. Murder mysteries and bachelor party hijinx a la The Hangover are relatively rare.

It’s a great place to meet like minded people in the hobby.
Buy pipes, tobacco and what ever you find.
Smoking area to set smoke and chat with the guys/girls.
Good times.

^ This is a great example of why I love this community. If I lived closer, I’d love to meet the two of you in person. Have fun—Texas is supposed to be a terrific show!

I don’t personally know anyone who smokes a pipe, so yeah it would be great to meet some fellow Texans or any folks who do. At first I thought this fell on the same weekend of Missouri’s opening day for whitetail (firearms), but thankfully it’s the weekend before, so I am hoping to come.
