I have an immense soft spot for BB pipes.
The seller kindly accepted my not so generous offer and it is on its way to me now.
He also sent me pictures of the chamber. So far the pipe looks to be in fine condition and what issue there might be I can hopefully deal with.
Given this is a Baldo Baldi pipe ( they are rare now, or out of my reach ), I hope it turns out to be a bargain.
When did the Carmignani pipe close ? Anyone knows ?

Made; he passed away in 2021 :(
I agree, the make of his pipes is unique and splendid in every way.
In 2015 George posted about a replacement he made for one of his pipes; amazing job.
I own a few, but do not always appreciate his design; some I think of as rather square / clunky , but that is a matter of taste and the execution is always perfect. I own a very early one from the period he alledgedly had not yet decided about a stem logo.
It is a wonderful rusticated/hewn bent billiard. To me it shows a magnificent Bauhaus kind of design.
Will retrieve it from one of the boxes and hopefully post a picture soon .
Georges' post also shows one of my BB pipes :
