Generous guy that he is, he has sent it my way in an effort to bring it back to the land of the living.
Here are some photos of how it is right out of the box.
The markings are very faint and hard to read. But I would agree with what Scott wrote in his initial thread, and the Bard of Barlings himself has dated this from 1947 through early 1962.
If the stem is a replacement, I think it's very well done. It fits in there nice and snug.
This should be an interesting one to clean up. Thanks Scott!
