Bought a Pipe I Thought Was Hideous

Funny how tastes change. The first time I saw this pipe I laughed and said, “Wow, that’s an ugly little thing.” I kept scrolling past it for weeks and every time I saw it, a small amount of appreciation started creeping in. I finally did a complete 180 and decided I just had to have it. It’s way out of my wheelhouse, but I love it.

I think I did too! Something about the angle of the rim just started calling to me… I can’t really explain why I like it.

The one other Musico I own smokes like an absolute dream, so I have high expectations for this one.

It was advertised at just a shade over 1.5” deep but it feels substantially deeper than that to me.

I generally stop at a 2 inch depth but depending on how much I like the pipe I'll sometimes go lowerm

I have not smoked this yet, but the other Musico I own is excellent in every regard. The drilling is spot on and draw is wide open on this one, so I have no doubt it will be a very good pipe.

Looks good to me, right off the top. I have a little bent Genod egg that is compact and light weight but with a good sized chamber, I really like. Not quite as pretty as this, but a pleasing work horse pipe. Yours is a dressier version with the same attributes.
