Growing up in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Uhle's has always been synonymous with pipes and tobacco to me. 23 years removed from my hometown, I'm nostalgic and obsessed with everything about it.
This is my second House of Uhle Estate (it doesn't seem they have shop branded pipes anymore, I could be wrong). The first one came ready to go, this $20 eBay find was "well loved".
I finished reaming the chamber, polishing the silver, and scrubbing the vulcanite when I realized I didn't get any good before pics. At any rate, I thought I would run a bowl through it to see how it smokes before I spent any more time prettying it up. Halfway through and it's a real performer. I'll need to dig into all of the restoration posts!
