Pipe ID - Billiard w/ Ring Stem Stamp

This one recently came to a friend in a group. Only nomenclature on the wood is:

2 1930

Couldn't find a similar ring/circle /O stem insignia on pipephil. The ring is actually a metal inlay.
Anyone recognize it?

It could even just be someone has heated up a jump ring in their workshop and pressed it into the stem of their pipe on a whim, maybe his name was Owen?

It reminds me of the circle on linkman’s in the first half of the 30s, except that was on the shank, so no help here sorry

I've looked all through pipephil and haven't seen anything remotely similar. Definitely has factory numbers.
Maybe a prototype or personal run. Likely will never know.

I found a pipe this made me think about. It is a WOLF (over) London (over) HHW. It has a smaller ring. Here is a pic from PipePhil that is about the same as mine. But the ring is way to small.

I actually acquired this pipe today from my buddy.
Still unknown.

It does actually look like a jump ring (partially because of the split) that's been embedded; you can see the higher point of the wire sitting high in relation to the areas where the ring meets the stem at the inside and outside of the circle. You'd think a logo would most likely be joined and be flush with the stem. I'll continue to keep my eyes peeled for another pipe with this "logo."
