This came in a job lot a few years ago, and I just pulled it out to restore it. I can't work out what it is - I don't think it's a fake Dunhill attempt as there's no name stamping on the stummel, and the dot is too close to the stummel. The sandblast is actually quite nice, the stem is fairly nicely shaped, but seems a bit lopsided.

It may have just been someone's little project to make their pipe look more like a Dunhill!16922742406249126544952400764586.jpg16922743081668471536444117537275.jpg16922743544968795306089719733860.jpg

Dunhill did not use a COM stamp like that one. The dot looks all wrong as well, it must have been a project.
I'm actually struggling to think of any marque that used that stamp.

I have one Parker with 'Made in London England' stamping, but a different layout.

Looks like a Charatan/Ben Wade stummel with a Dunhill stem.
I had that shape stamped for Sullivan’s (Burlington Arcade) but it had the standard saddle stem. Should clean up nice, whatever it is/was.

You could well be right - Ben Wade did use that stamp, and it looks similar. All my Ben Wades are Leeds-era, so I hadn't twigged that. I wonder if someone has altered the shape of the stem as well as putting the dot in. It looks 'rustic', and when I look closely I think I can see sanding marks.

Apparently in the 70s they were coming out of the same factory as Dunhills (the Walthamstow factory) so that could explain the same stamping as the Parker.
