@Chasing Embers -- CE--I figure you know lots about fire! So I'm looking into Beattie lighters (I wonder if the one's on ebay that are untested usually work? Do they have the usual flints and wicks?). Thanks for posting the above photo!

For me now, indoors, I use the following in this order:
1. Old Boy IM Corona
2. Kiribi
3 Nimrod
4. Bic
5. Dunhill Rollagas

Outdoors:
1. Nimrod
2. Bic
3. If mostly calm and little wind, IM Corona Old Boy

I bought a well used one, looks bronze, and it is great - and found a mint unused I haven’t tried but it has the special tool and everything else. Just look at pics, read descriptions, check out sellers as best you can.

I’m outside walking in the wind a lot and so Zippo with pipe insert most of the time. I’ve taken to matches out of a box indoors.
