Are they still in production? Having a hard time finding where they’re sold.
If anybody could point me in the right direction, would appreciate it.

If memory serves me correctly, sometime around 2005 Wessex pipes which were sandblasted with cumberland stems began to appear on the market in significant numbers. They were produced by Chacom from old stummels. They developed a reputation for being very good smokers, possibly because the bowls were old and dry. Later on the pipes, which looked similar to the French production were made, I believe, by Lorenzetti. The stems were made of acrylic but looked like cumberland. I have a French production Wessex and it's a great pipe for a modest price. I can't comment on the Italian version or any Wessex which may have been produced prior to the aforementioned Chacom production.

I picked up this gem at the Columbus pipe show last August. It was unsmoked and I snagged it for $40. It's a great smoker. I'm not sure of the age of it.
