Just finished smoking Mac Baren HH Burley Flake in a 1979 smooth straight dark brown Loewe Army 910 billiard with a silver cap military mount and a tapered black vulcanite stem. Time for a snack!
A quarter of the way through this bowl of 2021 Watch City Simply Orange Virginia in a black sandblast medium bend 2021 Peterson POTY 4AB No. 182/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem.
Going to have Captain Earle’s Ten Russians in a Bjarne Nielsen Blowfish with an army Mount Stem.
Didn't even get the chance to get this in before it just started pouring! Went outside tonight after dinner, with a bowl of Lane Ltd. BCA instead (same pipe). That hit the spot!Got a bowl's worth of Esoterica Woodbridge (sample) drying on a paper towel, as I stare apprehensively at the monsoonal clouds rolling in, knowing THE SECOND that I step outside with it, the rain will start. Naturally. Oh well, at least I can drink indoors!
Bird report: California scrub-jay, House finch, California towhee, Steller's jay, Common raven, Oak titmouse, Common raven, White-breasted nuthatch, Mountain chickadee, California quail, and Nuttall's woodpecker. Looking forward to a nice Rosh Hashanah dinner tonight...Chag sameach!

Not far from finishing this bowl of Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a 2003 black sandblasted medium bend Karl Erik Ekstravagant scoop with a horn ferrule and black acrylic stem.
Just finished smoking Watch City Original Crumb Cut in a 1950s-60s straight smooth brown Bertram 07 octagonal paneled billiard with a square shank and a tapered black vulcanite stem.
Enjoyed a tasty Jazz apple, and am smoking Wilke No. 515 in a smooth dark medium bend 2021 Peterson Heritage Brown POTY 4AB No. 45/500 military mount with a silver cap and a tapered black vulcanite AB stem. This was the blend Basil Rathbone smoked. I'll probably end the day with this smoke.

Yesterday afternoon Newminster 400 Navy Flake in a Savinelli EF 128 Billiard with 6mm Dr. Perl Jr. filter.
Slowly sipped, very enjoyable, consumed to bottom of bowl, little moisture, no dottle. Barely lit the tobacco while driving but a few strands caught and it was sufficient...no relight necessary.
