4.7 Quake in NJ!

Just had a 4.7 magnitude quake in Tewksbury, New Jersey.
50 miles away in Quakertown, PA it felt like a Blackhawk was landing in my backyard. Whole house shook.

We thought it was a rumbling truck at first, then thought, “Uh, oh, we better get out from under the bathtub.”

I felt it in Manhattan. Stuff rattled but no damage in our building from 1883.

Yep, same here. Took us a second to figure out it was.

I thought it was an entry team storming my house again.

Felt it in Connecticut too. My newly installed furnace cycled at the exact same time and my first thought was ... that's not good ... then realized it was an earthquake when the roof started creaking ... but we survived ... until Monday !

Shook the house a bit and rattled the windows in Bucks County. What really surprised me was how loud it was.

Felt it here in southwestern CT but it was nothing compared to the one I felt in Japan over the winter.

I'm here once again to ask you to donate, if we just all pay more taxes we can stop these earthquakes, i've seen the science!

Hope all is ok, was in a 7.2 April 4th a bunch of years ago in San Diego, a 7+ in a 17 story building SUCKS, building was pretty new at the time and built on rollers so it was earthquake proof* but it swayed seriously left and right and scared the hell out of me .

I like the shake map ... looks like a possibility I may have waterfront property come next Tuesday !!

Rather like secondhand smoke, I’m suffering emotional damage just reading this thread.

I was in a floated, isolated room when it happened. My experience was like I was on a boat that wasn't moving, but rocking notably. No sound, I thought the floor was about to fall out from under me. So that was interesting.

When I got out of the room everyone was talking about the noise. Wish I heard it!

If I was with Jacqueline Bisset, I would walk through a mile of her poop and never feel a thing if the quake was a 9.0!! Jiggily, Jiggily!!
