Our featured interview on tonight's Pipes Magazine Radio Show is with Chuck Stanion. Chuck is quite well-known in the hobby as the Editor of Pipes and tobaccos Magazine for 21 years. They ceased publishing in 2019. Since then, he has been responsible for most of the writing about pipes, tobaccos, pipe makers, pipe culture and other areas related to the hobby in his Pipe Line column at SmokingPipes.com. Chuck was awarded Dr. of Pipes at the 2016 Chicago pipe show. Brian and Chuck will be talking about pipe smoking at Christmastime, amongst other things. At the top of the show we will have an Ask the Tobacco Blender segment with Jeremy Reeves. Jeremy is the Head Blender at Cornell & Diehl, which is one of the most popular boutique pipe tobacco companies in the USA.

The show airs every Tuesday at 8:00pm eastern US time, and can be found at PipesMagazine.com and all podcast apps.

As I was puffing away on some Dorchester in my Rinaldo Calabash this evening, while organizing some P&T magazines, I stumbled upon the 9/11 Twin Towers Castello "Remember" Pipe (Pipes AND TOBACCOS Winter 2002) that was mentioned in this episode by Chuck. I thought that I would share the photo for those who may be interested. I was jogging trails that morning (9/11/2001) for PT (physical training) when after showering and flipping on the news did I see those events unfolding. It took me until 13:30 to get onto the base that day due to traffic, previously there were no id checks... you could just come and go unchecked. Happy belated holidays...back to my smoke break 💨 (no need to read on the podcast)KIMG2970.JPGKIMG2962.JPGKIMG2969.JPG
