Sloppy snowy Spring day. I worked on this Tilshead. The chamber rim was pretty ugly, with knife slips and charring. Rather than top it, I opened up the upper portion of the chamber to get rid of the damage.
The rim is reasonably back in round. I coated the inside of the bowl with maple syrup and activated charcoal.
This would’ve been a JU “P” if not for small blemish on the right hand side of the shank. The briar looks like what they were using in the mid eighties.
