I had this pipe up for sale but their were no takers so I decided to play with it a little.

At first, I just stripped it and finished it with Fiebing's Green and it came out dark green. It looked ok but was nothing special. Then I had the idea to make some of the carving look like climbing vines against the tan colored bowl. So I started to strip it down slowly and something wonderful started happening. As I stripped it, spot re-stained it with the green in areas and stripped and rubbed off more, I got this Verdigris Brass Patina look to it, which to my eye is very cool. I haven't seen a finish like this before.
