First bowl of a freshly popped (damn difficult, btw) tin of GH Rum Flake in a Wilke author. Surprisingly tasteless for first 5 minutes, but wonderful now.
Damn fine weed....in a rusticated Peterson Royal with a stem from Anthony.
PSLNF in the Chacom 871 with some black coffee. Lazy day. Mahogany due to arrive today. It's S2S, so I need to see how it looks. Going to have to make a sled for the router and set up a table with rails to surface the other side, that'll have to wait until next week. Plus it's raining every day this week and I don't have indoor workspace.
Mississippi Mud in a MM Freehand. It's my first try of it. I figured I might like it since I like Ten Russians. Not sure about it yet, but I never am after a first bowl, especially if the tin hasn't been open for a while.
Just finished smoking year 2018 Esoterica Dunbar in a smooth straight, dark brown early 1960s Lane era Charatan Selected 43 Dublin with a black vulcanite double comfort saddle stem. This pipe was formerly owned by actor William Conrad.
Going to have Cornell & Diehl Palmetto Balkan Small Batch (1879/3000) in a Missouri Meerschaum MacArthur 5-Star Natural Straight Corn Cob while I work on a book cover.
Did a second set of walking reps on this brutal day, and smoked a bowl of year 2015 D&R A.B. Rimboche in an undated slight bend, smooth flame grain Wessex Standard egg with a brown accent on the black vulcanite saddle stem. Ice water and bergs is my drink.
Cool and crisp here this morning, light frost and quite damp under foot after some persistent rain the last few days, it’s about -2C/28F right now. Smoking some Mac Baren Balkan Blend in a little Pete 999 as the sun comes up.
Hal O The Wynd in a late 1800’s Loewe Meer Egg with Ryan Alden Stem. The original albatross bone stem is still usable but Ryan also made a tamper adapter for it.
Evening pipe: PS Lux Twist in my bent apple. Keeping it simple tonight.

About a quarter of a bowl left of year 2013 Rotary Navy Cut in a post-1938 Pre-Republic Peterson Dublin straight smooth X155 bulldog with a sterling silver band and a tapered black vulcanite p-lip stem. Nigel Bruce smoked this model in two Sherlock Holmes movies. Please consider asking Smoking Pipes to bring back this model.
