    Kaywoodie Help Needed

I picked up this well smoked old Kaywoodie Standard at an antique shop. As you can see it seems to have a stem issue. Any suggestions on repairing this problem? Thank you

Anybody ever seen one of these?

I saw this in a November 1946 issue of Pipe Lovers Magazine. I’ve never run across one but it looks like a handy item.

    Buffer……What do you think?

I’ve convinced myself that I ”need” a buffer set-up. I’m looking at this one along with a speed controller. Any comments…good…bad….or indifferent? Thanks Dave

    Favorite alcohol for pipe cleaning/sweetening

I currently use Everclear when cleaning an estate pipe and when cleaning up my rotation pipes. I’ve read of references to using Malibu Coconut Rum and Tawny Port Wine when cleaning up your regular smoking pipes so I thought I’d ask for comments on what might be your favorite alcohol to use. Thanks!

    Paging a Falcon Pipe doctor……

I recently picked up these three pipes at an antique mall for $5.00 each. The top two are post lawsuit Dr Grabow Vikings and the bottom one is a Falcon. Any suggestions on possibly repairing that bit that’s missing a piece? From what I understand the Falcon bits aren’t suppose to be removed...

    Salesman Sample Pipes

A couple of years ago I learned that a friend of mine, back in the 70’s & 80’s, owned a pipe shop. I asked him if he had any old pipes he might sell and one day he brought these to me. He said they were salesman samples. They’ve had the brand name X’ed out and all are unsmoked. Top one is Wiley...

    Pipe Retort Question

I just got my hands on a pipe retort and since I’ve never used one I have a question. Does your pipe need to be a vulcanite stemmed pipe in order to use the retort cleaning method?

    Kaywoodie Help

This is one of several old pipes I picked up recently and it’s the first Kaywoodie that I’ve ever owned. When I separated the stem this is what it looks like. Is this what it should look like? It is a Kaywoodie Standard 80 B.

    Falcon Pipe Bit

Does anyone know where or if you can purchase a Falcon pipe bit? I picked up an old Falcon pipe at a flea market and its great except someone chewed up the bit. Thanks

    Frog Mortons Cellar

Several years ago I bought a small container of Frog Morton’s Cellar. I smoked a pipefull and I really didn’t care for it so I just stored it with my tobacco stash. A few days ago I decided to try it again and WOW what a wonderful tobacco I discovered it to be on my second try. Then I learned...
