    Worst Pipe Tragedy

Hey friends, in light of recently finding a crack in the mortise on my Radice, I began thinking about the unfortunate experiences that others may have had with their prized pipes. I know that many of you have had much worse occurrences than mine. So, if you feel inclined, share with us what was...

    Small Crack in the Mortise

I noticed this little crack, or what appears to be a little crack in the mortise area of my Radice Rind. My fingernail doesn't catch on it but a small pocket knife does. In the photo, its top left area. I know its not the best photo, but my phone camera is lacking. I'm not sure how this...

Long-term Tobacco Storage in Mason Jars

For those of you who have been at this for some time, what would you say is the longest time that you cellared a tobacco in a Mason jar that upon smoking it still retained its quality? I ask this because current Mason jar packaging claims the seal will remain good for 18 months.

    Pipe Rotation

Three questions and thanks in advance for the responses: How many pipes are in your regular rotation? How many pipes do you own? Regardless of how many pipes you have, how many do you think is enough?

    New Year's Day Traditions

Here in western PA, where I've lived all my life, it is a common tradition to eat pork and sauerkraut on New Year's Eve/Day. The tradition carried over from Germany and was perpetuated by the PA Dutch community. Do you have any New Year's meal traditions. I'm curious what other regions may eat...

    GH Packaging

Saw this on Watch City's Facebook page--New GH packaging resembles a frozen mac-n-cheese package...peel back the plastic halfway, microwave on high for 3 minutes, stir and enjoy!

    Pipes in Artwork

I saw this on the interwebs today and thought I'd share. I can see this being my wife and I years down the road, Lord willing. May you all have peaceful piping this Christmas season.

    Radice Pipes

Doing some shopping for a Radice Rind. I've found some nice ones on European websites. I know there are some on Smoking Pipes, but anywhere else in the US with a decent selection?

    Drying Tobacco

Hello Friends, I am currently drying out some LJ Peretti BPC for a smoke this afternoon. I was wondering, do any of you dry out all of your tobacco once you plan on working through that tin/jar? BPC is one that is kind of a pain for me because of the big cube-cut, but I love it. I was thinking...

    Churchwardens

I'm curious what everyone thinks about Churchwardens. I've been on the forum for four months now and I do not recall one person posting a picture with a Churchwarden in WAYS!! I do not own one but occasionally get intrigued by some that Boswell offers.

    Cigar Storage

If I store an occasional cigar in a jar with a Boveda, would you recommend taking the cigar out of the wrapper?

    LJ Peretti #8 Slice

I transferred the tobacco from the 8 oz paint can to two pint jars. I thought maybe some of you would like to see the "slices" if you haven't tried #8 Slice yet. The lid is a regular size lid for size reference. These are big slices.

    C&D Bulk Burleys

Cornell & Diehl has several bulk Burleys: Ribbon Cut, Cube Cut, Dark, and White. For those of you who have smoked 'em straight, what are your thoughts?

    Estate Pipes

I've been looking at estate pipes on Blue Room Briars. There are some ones that I really like. What are some other sites that you've found nice estate pipes on? Thanks in advance for the replies!

    Smoking Spiritualized by Ralph Erksine

The following is a poem written by Ralph Erksine (1685-1752), a Scottish pastor. While you read: think, and smoke tobacco! This Indian weed now wither’d quite, ‘Tho’ green at noon, cut down at night, Shows thy decay; All flesh is hay. Thus think, and smoke tobacco. The pipe so lily-like and...

    Pouch Tobaccos

My only experience with purchasing a pouch tobacco is Five Brothers, which is excellent in my opinion. In your experience, what other pouch tobaccos have you smoked that you really enjoyed? I'm always looking to expand my pipe smoking horizons! And friends, thank you in advance for the replies!

    Perique Varieties

One thing I've noticed with VaPers is that different blends have very different tin notes. For example, Virginia Jazz and Boswell's Private Stock are two that I enjoy that have a very "barnyard" aroma while others like Bayou Morning ( which boasts a large amount of Perique) and Rouxgaroux have a...

    LJ Peretti Thanksgiving Day

Planning my future tobacco binge, I mean budget, how much did the 4 oz cake of Thanksgiving Day cost last year?
