    Dark Fired Kentucky

    I have been trying many different types of tobaccos and blends in my first few months of pipe smoking. I recently received some DFK. Smoked by itself it is definitely a stout tobacco. I have read where it can be also used as a condiment for blends. What types of tobaccos does DFK compliment?

    Cleaning inside of stems

    I recently picked up an estate and normally do an alcohol and salt cleaning and clean the stem with alcohol and pipe cleaners. I've put about 25 through this stem and they are still coming out brown! Is there a better way other than a retort? Right now I have a pipe cleaner soaked in alcohol...

    Accidental Stain on Stummel.

    I have a Dr. Grabow wire cut belvedere that I did a salt and alcohol cleaning on. Some of the tobacco stained alcohol spilled on to the exterior gray finish and brown stained it. What would be the safest way to remove the stain?

    MM Hickory wood pipes

    I recently picked up two unsmoked MM pipes made from hickory. They have completely different stems from the ozark pipes I recently purchased. The stems are much sturdier. Does anyone know when these hickory pipes were made?
