I loved the stuff when I tried it 4-5 years ago, and put aside a few Petes for it. After a while the pipes started to taste awful. That tobacco leaves a bad tasting residue. It took a lot of smoking with a more normal tobacco to get the bad taste out. I have to go back and try it in a cob.

Thanks for the tip foggy. I'll put it through some secondary pipes while I decide whether I'll keep it in rotation or not.

FYI, Wilke's No.515 was the tobacco of choice for the Holmes character in the novels.
