For those who aren’t Marxman addicts:
Those were Benchmade pipes.
The Benchmade came in $5 A, $7.50 B, and $10 C size, and were every one different and hand made of top grade Algerian briar. More money bought a bigger pipe.
The Jumbo looks to me nearly the same as a Benchmade, perhaps more Dublins than Square Panels for the Benchmade, also in $5, 7.50, and $10 sizes plus a $15 monster.
Some long dead Marxman lover bought $50 worth of massive size Benchmades and he loved them dearly as you can see.
If he’d smoked them a lot they’d have turned red.
For about $40 tax and all apiece I hope somebody on the forum bought these.
Four out of five still have the stingers.
