I first heard this as a kid back in the 70's when for some reason it was regularly played on BBC Radio !.

It's the hilarious Bob Newhart's 'conversation' with Sir Walter Raleigh on the subject of tobacco.

It still has me in stitches today.

I have a few of his classic albums on vinyl. This is on one of them also. Bob is hilarious, even if a little gimmicky, with his "phone call" routines. Still, funny as hell.

No idea who was behind it but it was funny as hell to a 12 yearold me.

That's "Hello Mudduh, Hello Fadduh!" by Allan Sherman. I don't know how many times I've heard it, but it never fails to entertain me to this day. Great stuff.
