A question about the age of a tin.

So… I bought this for a very good price. It is of course Rattray’s Black Mallory. The Scottish stuff. The tin is one of those fully sealed with cut to open key. It looks like the seal is completely intact. I know what it is and I have no intention of selling it on but I have no idea as to the age of it. I was hoping someone might be able to weigh in and give me an educated guess. Thanks in advance for any help.

Probably mid 1960's and before. No tax and/or importer's label on the tin?

The estimate in that thread is 1930s - 1950s.

Smoke 'em quick. Heard very old tobacco can go bad rather quick. Just what I heard. Never had any tobacco that old.
