The horn shape is one I do not have.
A common comment is “love the shape BUT a bit impractical lighting/smoking”

This time last year I “won” this Sven Knudsen horn (dubbed “The Swan”)
Only to be told “you did not win this pipe” when I went to complete payment 2 minutes later.
The vendor didn’t not return several emails and EBay was not at all helpful

It is THE most graceful pipe I have seen.
And it remains one of my “white whales”

Last week I bought this NOS Henrik Christian Christensen horn.
There is a short article on Henrik in Pipedia written by his son.
He was a contemporary of Sven Knudsen and both sold their pipes to W.O.Larsen

This pipe, along with several others were found amongst his wife’s effects after she passed away.

The curves of this Henrik is reminiscent of Knudsen’s “Swan”.
Knudsen’s has a fuller, rounder “belly”
The Henrik has slightly panelled flanks

I’m not a fan of Henrik’s fussy “chair leg” stem.
However several of his pipes sport similar stems
It must have been a Danish design thing in the 1970s-80s

I will post better photos when it arrives

Those are both beautiful pipes!
However, like you I’m not a fan of the chair leg stem. It might be worth while to have a second more elegant stem made for the Henrik. This would potentially increase your enjoyment of the pipe and keep the original stem in good shape.

Thank you.
I agree. I think a new, simple tapered stem will improve the look
