Pipe Dreamer and Star Gazer
I have two blends that I tinker with. Both of them are creations that originated with John Dengler and my father and me.

Of the those two blends, I've learned to tweak them even more using Sutliff Virgina Slices mixed with Black Cavendish with Green River as a replacement for Lane RLP-6.

The Virginia Slices give a deeper and more true note and when mixed with black Cavendish, the aromatic balance makes them even more enjoyable.

I tend not to create too many "different" blends for the simple reason that pipe smoking for me is "comfort" food.

The only thing for me is occasionally adding some perique. I went through a phase of doing it a lot, but now it's more seldom.

My go to blend is 50% Mac Baren Old Dark Fired/50% Mac Baren Bold Kentucky. I've also mixed both with Mac Baren Burley Flake with good results.

I’ve tweaked blends since I first took up the pipe in 1996.
Sometimes I hit it right.
I’m currently smoking a bowl made up of 2 C&D blends; I mixed up 2 pounds of this back in 1997.
