I picked these up recently. Was wondering if anyone could identify them? I’m wondering if they are Roger Perrin - though when I look at pipephil logos Perrin is very different.

Here’s the link to the listing and some of the seller’s pics for you fellow lazy guys

Horrible photos. Way underexposed. Wouldn't put anything on the spot appearing blue. But no nomenclature on the stummel? Bad, bad!

Also the letters: In that style it could well be "APR"
When they arrive I will take some photos for you J.

Good point about the letter order. I thought I had put all three options in the title but going back I see I missed one.

I can’t tell from the pictures; do you know the COM? Or more generally what nomenclature the pipes bear?

The stems are minimally modified/shaped molded ones that have not been cut from rod or bar stock.

Meaning the overall grade / quality of everything else---the wood, the finish, and so forth---is middle-of-the-road. (Like was matched with like)

I don't have any real evidence to offer, but they look rather Oppenheimery to me. Looks like some weird hybrid logo of GBD/City De Luxe. But thats just a wild shot in the dark.

Actually there are serifs on the GBD font and not on the ARP font, not that that’s definitive. I’m guessing if there’s any COM nomenclature at all it won’t be Made in London or Made in England.

I had wondered if they were branded in a similar style to the older Posener Pipes (ADP). My only reference for a Perrin connection is this entry in WMTP, but I’m taking that with a large helping of salt
