Bob’s Chocolate Flake

Not normally an aromatic guy, I purchased a few tins on a whim from the last G&H drop. My question is does it need some cellar time or is it good to go fresh?

I just picked up some too. It was good to go fresh for me… I let a few bowls worth dry out on a paper towel for about an hour beforehand ?

Tried some yesterday after a few hours of drying, unusual tin note. Overall not bad for a first bowl, it will take a few more bowls to determine if this becomes something I cellar more of or keep the remaining tin for when I'm feeling froggy.

Haha I read the title of the thread too quickly and I thought it said "Bob's Chocolate Cake," and I thought I like chocolate cake, where can I get some? Maybe I should pay attention and try the tobacco as well.

In my book, Bob's Chocolate Flake barely qualifies as an aromatic. It's mostly just excellent tobaccos with a smattering of flavor. It's pretty great in my book.

If you end up liking it, grab some Rum flake too. It's also very good.

After smoking a few bowls, I'm liking this stuff more than I thought I would. Probably won't make it to my all-time fave list but pretty good nonetheless. I've tried varying drying times between 1 and 5 hours, seems about the same after passing the one-hour mark. It's a little too moist out of the tin. It burns slow, takes a few lights to get it going, and leaves no moisture in the bowl. The Latakia and cocoa are present, but are not overwhelming and work somehow together to make it a pleasurable smoke.
