I've just received these pamphlets that I thought might interest some of you. They came from the house of a man who had stacks of papers and books relating to tobacco, but didn't smoke himself!

Great, I'll scan them tomorrow and upload them. I'll try and get them on Pipedia too, although it appears to be down at the moment. The Charatan one is all about the Underboar.

The catalogues can also be found on the respective Pipedia pages. Apologies for the quality of the scans, I've had to do it with my phone. When I'm able to I'll scan them properly I'll update the versions on Pipedia.

Nothing old sadly, I have stacks of magazines that might have something in, I'll have a look!

In terms of what this guy had in his house, as far as I could tell these were the only pipe related things. There was a huge amount about tobacco, cigars and cigarettes that was really interesting, but not stuff I would have been interested in buying.

I looked at the Charatan Catalog and learned something new! Besides Comoy and Barling, Charatan had its own harvesting, curing, and milling operation in Algeria!

The first thing I thought when I saw that was, hmm I bet @ssjones is already looking for one of these .

A standard size bookcase full of papers, even quite technical things. It was all organized in folders and these were the only things in the 'pipe' folder.

The rest will be going to auction, so at least it will go to someone interested rather than just being dumped.
