Catholic Charities anounced last week that they have ran of Home Heating and rental asisnatnce cash in Mid Feb. in one of the coldest winters on record. I have a idea of a cigar and pipe dinner to raise some cash. Cigar Dinners were big in the 1990s but my contacts in Pittsburghs catering buisness say that they would have some problems with local laws. I was thinking of getting Blooms Cigar Camp to provide the cigars and Allegany Smokeworks to show off some of there pipes. I am also thinking of contacting someone who has a private railroad car to host it...Anyone here got experance with this?

I wouldn't want to quench your enthusiasm for supporting a worthy cause,

but I think you should find a more inclusive type of event. If statistics

reflect reality, a charity smoker will eliminate 80% of potential attendees.

Beyond your affinity for pipe smoking and a desire to be helpful, I just

don't get the connection...

Ya. The Roman Catholic Church has a lot of problems these days.

They could probably improve attendance and offerings by allowing smoking during services.

.

 That's what we need! Sanctuary! Sanctuary!
