Just bought this one, read somewhere that the 4 digit code on Savinellis are pre-1965, this seems to me to be mid 50's. Look at this baby! :D

That pipe has both nice lines and rustication. It reminds me of their Hercules EX rustication but a lot less scrotumesque. I would be interested in those pipes if the rustication was like yours.
“Scrotumesque”🤣🤣 I have a Bones Goose egg & the first thing my wife said when she saw it was “that looks like a testicle”. Does not keep me from smoking it tho

It’s just hard to beat a Savinelli pipe for the price point and the ones shown here indicate the level of finish from the Italian maker.

When I only have time for one pipeful to relax and enjoy and want to make sure it’s not a struggle with the draw or cool briar, I inevitably reach for one of the Savinelli pipes in my rack. Right now my focus is on Savinell’s Miele (honey) and Eleganza lines of pipes— at about $170, you just can’t beat them.

Thanks for posting thise incredible photos of that neat vintage pipe.
